Toca a trabalhar / Earning their food

dsc_0006-2

Finalmente as 4 miúdas começaram a "botar".

Finally all the girls are laying. This means that I'm having 3-4 fresh eggs a day, too many even for me! So I decided to sell them. I sold the first dozen to a friend yesterday. I think its time the girls start earning their food...

I envy you your chickens! Laying hens are the one thing that I would love to have in my yard, but I don't believe the neighbors would appreciate so much. Your hens are gorgeous!

Rowena, chickens are so low profile that most of the times your neighbors wouldn't even know they were there. But people tend to hold prejudice against these animals. :-(

Next, the cats! Don't they need to pay their way too? Surely there's some way you can get them to earn some money for you...

patrick, the cats allready work, keeping the birds and rodents away from the vegetable garden. Besides, cutiness will take them a long way, even if they don't work ;-)

Lisa, they are, aren't they? :-)
