What fantastic photos! The spider is especially beautiful.

LOL! I was not expecting BUGS this morning! It had to take some time and concentration to get all these guys documented! Well done! That stripey spider is really pretty. And the wasp is a paperwasp, right? You know they are friendly, right? (not like yellowjackets, who are aggressive and will eat your food!) Kathryn

mss, thank you! I do like spiders, they make fantastic photo subjects.

kathryn, yes, it is a paperwasp, we don't have yellowjackets here, I have lots of them in my garden. They are useful critters, as they will prey on caterpillars. And as long as you leave them and their nests alone they are rather friendly.

ameixa seca, ;-)

Muito fixe :)! Aquela vespa foi mesmo bem apanhada, estava a posar, só pode ;)!

Those really are great pictures. We don't have nearly that sort of biodiversity here in Amsterdam.

Amazing pictures Gintonio. I really like the wasp you caught flying toward the flower. Most of the bugs I haven't seen but some are familiar. The snails shell is very pretty but I bet it can be distructive in your garden.

I'm sure it was rather distressing to find, but that snail shell on the lavender is amazingly pretty.

Great photos!

dama do lago, andava de flor em flor na alfazema, por isso foi fácil de a apanhar.

patrick, thank you. I'm sure you have lots of insects in Amsterdam too. Sometimes we just need to look for them otherwhise we wont see them.

jardineira, os melros ainda andam por aí. Só não descobri onde fizeram o ninho desta vez.

luciano lema, as alfazemas são imanes para a "bicharada" :-)

miguel, obrigado. :-)

jmrm, obrigado, e boa semana tb.

lisa at greenbow, blacksamp_girl, snails are all over my garden. Luckilly they don't munch on herbs (and most of my garden are herbs)

LOVE you bug pics! Funny to see a snail climbing that high, I'm used to seeing lower leaf damage only.
