Em Flor /Garden Blogger's Bloom Day

Sempervivum sp

In my garden you normally won't find many blooming plants during the hot summer months, most plants are in their summer rest, quietly waiting for the second spring (aka autumn) to come. So, don't expect to find lots of exotic luxurious blooms in this post, only a few blooms that you've seen in previous months, some succulent blooms and a few vegetable blooms.

It's always so interesting to see the plants you have blooming because many of them are unfamiliar to me. But I laughed when I saw the pretty yellow blooms near the end, wondering what kind of flowers they were:) Melon and tomato blossoms are beautiful indeed!

Gintonio the blooms you have are very nice. At least you have some and not only blooms but the promise of fruits from your tomato plants. I think I have the same echerveria blooming. I will have to include that in my post.

Well, I think you have plenty of blooms - and very nice ones too! The veggie flowers are so nice when you look at them closely!

LOL, we have all the yellow flowers in common although most of mine live in my greenhouse. I've been to Portugal and know how dry it is during the summer months so it's nice to see that you still have quite a collection of flowers for GBBD.

It's fun to compare gardens across the Atlantic. We are both growing plumbago. But your peppers and tomatoes are doing much better than mine. It all looks lovely even if this is the hot season.

You have Plumbago & Bouganvillea, 2 of my favorite tropical flowers. I have to settle for Ceratostigma plumbaginoides, which isn't even blooming yet.

rose, its always very interesting to see what blooms across the world. Its a good way of seeing plants that we had never seen before, and probably can't grow in our gardens.

lisa at greenbow,I wish this hot weather would go away soon. The thought of fruits after the flowers keeps me going.

katarina, I think veggies are understated. They can look really nice in a well groomed garden.

yolanda, it is very dry around here at this time of year. That's whay I prefer drought tolerant plants, even if the garden doesn't look as good as a month ago it still keeps on going.

mss, the veg garden is the only receiving regular watering, that is why they look good and are growing well. The chilli peppers were offered to me as a grown plant, the peppers that I've grown from seed are a lot smaller.

mr mcgregor's daughter, I also like Ceratostigma plumbaginoides a lot. I actually prefer the blue of its flowers over the one of Plumbago's flowers.

For having a garden that is 'resting' in the heat, you sure have a lot of blooms!

Thanks for joining in again for bloom day.
