I have seen the term "broad beans" in various European gardening writing, but I honestly have no idea what that means. How do they differ from what we would call regular green beans here, do you know?
In any case... that's one healthy-looking bean. :)

Blackswamp_Girl, broad beans are, I beleave, what you americans call fava beans. With the gfrean beans you eat the pods. With broad beans are the beans that matter ;-) You can see what they look like here:

Ah... I've heard about fava beans but I've never grown them myself! They do look pretty in that drink glass. :)
